Today we went to two parks in the 19th arrondissement. Parc des Buttes-Chaumont was part of Napoleon III's plan to add more green areas to Paris. It has a lake and a steep hill topped by a pagoda. Parc de Belleville is built on a former gypsum quarry and has spectacular views of the city. For lunch we went to Fromagerie 31 where we shared a cheese plate (9 varieties) and had salad and wine. Delicious!
