We've just returned to Paris from two days in Bruges. What a beautiful city! Laced with canals, it retains much of its medieval architecture. It's filled with chocolate shops, lace shops, and small restaurants. You can't go to Belgium without having moules frite (mussels and fries), so that's what we ate on our first day. It's a very charming small town, a big contrast to the bustle of Paris.
