Montparnasse

Today's walking tour was in Montparnasse, one of the areas we've spent the least time in.  We didn't go the the Montparnasse Museum, but the courtyard leading to it was very pretty.

The museum we did visit was the French Resistance Museum.  It was heavy on things to read, and light on things to see, but it was free.

We got introduced to Basque food at lunch.  I had a Salade Compléte with ham, cheese, fried potatoes, and a sunny-side-up egg.  Bill had Basque style tuna with a tomato and pepper sauce.  It came with fried potatoes and salad.

The Montparnasse Cemetery contains the tombs of Sartre, Beauvoir, and other luminaries, but I liked the tomb of the Pigeon family.  They are in bed - fully dressed.

Today's cheeses:  Brebis Artisinal and Livarot
Today's baguette:  First prize in the 2011 Paris baguette contest.  Excellent crust, but I have to say that all the baguettes de tradition that we've had have been good.
