The Quai Branly Museum

It was rainy today, so we decided to go to a museum.  But first, we went to lunch at a neighborhood restaurant.  Our desserts were an eclair and Nutella flavored creme brulee.  Nutella in creme brulee - what a great idea!

We went to the Quai Branly Museum, a museum dedicated to non-western objects.  It's centered around Oceania, Asia, Africa, and the Americas and has lots of very interesting artifacts from these regions.

On the way home we stopped at the boulangerie and along with our bread, picked up some niflettes.  Niflettes are a regional pastry from Provins (about 60 miles from Paris).  It's made by taking a small square of puff pastry, making an indentation in it, and filling the indentation with orangewater flavored pastry cream.  This would be very simple to make, and I plan to try it when I get home.

Today's cheese:  None.  It was too rainy to go traipsing around to fromageries.

  1. I love Nutella and I love creme brulee. I may need to search the internet for a recipe!
